The Project

Moda, Loudon’s Yard in Edgbaston, Birmingham is a new urban community which comprises three towers reaching to nine, 10 and 13 storeys. The neighbourhood has delivered 398 studio, one, two and three-bed homes for rent together with extensive co-working, meeting, entertainment and social spaces.

The development is the first neighbourhood in the New Garden Square Masterplan, which is being delivered by Moda in partnership with Calthorpe Estates. It is bringing high quality modern living to Edgbaston, which blends seamlessly into the heritage of the area.

The Furniture Solution

Around 4,000 bespoke, contemporary kitchen cabinets have been manufactured and are being installed for 398 kitchens in linear and L-shaped configurations and varying sizes to suit the apartment layouts.

There are two colour palettes – indigo blue or sage green base and tall units – both with contrasting oak woodgrain for the wall units, and white polished quartz worktops and upstands.

Deanestor’s contract also includes the installation of all appliances – hobs, ovens, extractors, dishwashers, microwaves and fridge freezers.

The Customer Perspective

Chris Trunkfield, Design Director, Moda Living:

“Deanestor has performed well on this project and their relationship with Moda remains strong. Their team is collaborative, and their kitchens meet our specification. We have found their kitchen cabinetry to be good quality and robust to suit a rental environment.”
