The £40m new wing at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, which opened in April 2018, was designed by Avanti architects and built by Simons Construction Ltd on behalf of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
Children's Healthcare Furniture
The project created 72 new bed spaces within four new wards and also included therapy, patient dining, parent relaxation and teenager hangout rooms.
Deanestor designed, manufactured and installed the healthcare furniture which encompassed ‘drop down function’ beds, bed head units with service panels, sofa beds with storage, clinical basin/patient storage units, counters and other miscellaneous fixtures and fittings.
The designs created a more welcoming environment for young people, their families and the hospital staff.
